Mooie code en je commentaar is makkelijk te lezen. Misschien moet je maar eens gebruik maken van phpdoc, da's de standaard.

In je constructor zou ik ook controleren of de ftp module geïnstalleerd is. Als iemand SSL gebruikt, controleer of openSSL geïnstalleerd is (zie nota).
