In vorige Windows versies waren dit de plaatjes;
(gewoon tijdelijk hernoemen naar bmp of zo)
1 Startup Logo - C:\logo.sys
2 Shutdown Logo - C:\Windows\logow.sys
3 Shutdown Complete Logo - C:\Windows\logos.sys
Maar bij XP moet het anders, dit heb ik ff van een site geplukt:
XP Boot Screens
XP Boot Screens are the screens you see while XP is loading up.
Changing them does require some 'messing' about, or you can download Boot Randomizer to make things a little easier (Click Here for more info on this). Also, if you are interested in creating Boot Screens they have a piece of software for this too.
OK, if you have decided to take the plunge and do this 'manually' here are the steps:
1. Backup your entire PC - burn all of your important files to disk or CD - Mail copies to relatives just in case yours are destroyed (Don't say we did not warn you).
2. Even if you skip the above step be sure to backup the current boot screen - ntoskrnl.exe file (Probably in c:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe).
3. Download whichever file you like and copy/extract the new ntoskrnl.exe file to any directory other than the one above.
4. Reboot your computer into 'Safe Mode' (Hitting F8 before the boot screen does this).
5. Copy the new ntoskrnl.exe file to the original directory (Of course you have backed up the original ntoskrnl.exe file right?).
6. Reboot the computer again as you normally would.

Maar dan moet je dus een ander opstartscherm downloaden...
